EVERYTHING YOU NED TO KNOW ABOUT TRUNK SHOWS:

Hosting a show is easy and fun! Here is all the scoop.

PLANNING. You can invite as many or as few people as you like. Trunk shows can be hosted by a single individual or multiple people.  We recommend you email a save the date and then follow up with a paperless post email. We can provide art work and images of the jewelry to entice your guests!

RECEIVING THE JEWELRY. Once you have decided on a trunk show date we will mail you a large package (usually a day or two in advance) with all cash and carry jewelry. Cash and carry simply means it all is for immediate sale and can be carried home (we Visa, MC, cash and check).  In the package you will also receive lucite trays where you can display the jewelry. We find that arranging these trays on any large table or surface creates a nice shopping environment. All jewelry will arrive tagged with the retail price. We will also send you carbon-copy order forms. You can have your shopper fill out their own order form or you can complete it for them. The pink bottom copy can be left with the customer as their receipt. We will also ship you our pink box packaging for purchases. These can also double as table display.

ENJOY THE SHOW. We will be available by phone during your show should you have any questions at all. All jewelry should be tagged and marked with the retail price. In the case it is not there will be a line list available. Our tags will also have the name of the semi-precious stone used for reference. All of our jewelry is made with 24kt heavy gold plate. Which means it is dipped in 24kt gold two times. This helps ensure that the gold plate will not wear quickly. Some frequently asked questions are on the following page.

REWARD YOURSELF. Trunk Show hosts receive 20% of all sales towards 20% off the retail price of the jewelry. Host are able to purchase jewelry above and beyond this amount at 20% off the jewelry.

PACKING IT UP. At the end of the show simply pack all the jewelry back in the original bubble wrap and box. Include the envelope with orders and any special feedback. We will include a UPS call tag that you can tape on the closed box and you can drop at any UPS location.

FAQS

Q: Should I serve food and wine?  

A: It is always nice to offer something to your guests. Wine and light appetizers are great. We have found that it is not necessary to have a huge offering of food- most people are not there to eat. ADDISON WEEKS does not provide an allowance for food or wine.

Q: What forms of payments are accepted during the show?

A: We accept Visa, Master Card, Checks and Cash. You will not have to process any cards at your trunk show. We ask that credit card numbers are written on the order forms with complete contact and billing information. We will do all the billing when the merchandise arrives back at our office.

Q: What happens if any jewelry arrives damaged?

A: Don’t worry! We will take care of it at our expense.

Q: What happens if a customer contacts me after the show unhappy with her item?

A: We want all of your friends to be over joyed with their jewelry. We will do everything we can to resolve any situation, including full refund or merchandise exchange. All purchases are available to be returned within 14 days of the trunk show for a full refund.

Q: Can I keep the items I want to receive as my “credit” from the show?

A: Absolutely! Just write up an order form for yourself and we will tell you your total amount you have to spend once we tally up the show total.

Q: What happens if I don’t have a good turn out for my trunk show?  

A: We are happy with any number of people you introduce to our brand. We appreciate all you do and thank you!

Q:How far in advance should I plan my trunk show?

A: As soon as you know you are interested give us a call or email to put a date on the calendar. We can turn around merchandise quickly but it might be best to give guests at least a weeks notice to prepare for the show.
